Poland-Taiwan Smart City Forum & B2B | SCSE 2026

In March, representatives of 8Foundry Alliance together with partners from the Pomerania region will participate in Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE) 2026 in Taiwan – one of the most important events in Asia dedicated to urban technologies, digital transformation, and innovation for cities.
The event is organized by the Taipei Computer Association, one of the key partners of 8Foundry Alliance in Asia, with whom the cluster is developing cooperation in the fields of urban technologies, digital infrastructure, and innovation for the public sector.
For 8Foundry Alliance and partners from Pomerania, participation in the event is primarily an opportunity for direct business meetings and for strengthening technological cooperation between Europe and Asia.
Taiwan-Poland Smart City Forum & B2B Matchmaking
An important element of the 8Foundry Alliance presence at SCSE will be the organization of the Taiwan–Poland Smart City Forum & B2B Matchmaking, which will take place on March 18 in Taipei from 14:00 to 17:30 (local time).
The meeting has been designed as a platform for dialogue between cities, public institutions, and technology companies from Poland and Taiwan.
The program of the event includes:
- an expert forum with representatives of cities and leaders of the technology sector
- presentations on the development of smart cities, digital infrastructure, and smart ports
- B2B matchmaking sessions, enabling direct business meetings between partners from Europe and Asia
Among the speakers will be representatives of the City of Gdynia, the City of Gdańsk, and Invest in Pomerania, who will present the potential of the Pomerania region and opportunities for cooperation with Taiwanese partners.
Smart City Technologies and Future Infrastructure
Discussions during the event will focus on practical technology projects and implementation opportunities in European cities and ports.
Key areas of cooperation include:
- smart city solutions and digital governance
- digital and telecommunications infrastructure, including 5G and AIoT technologies
- smart ports, logistics, and maritime technologies
- solutions for urban transport and critical infrastructure
- technologies supporting the digital transformation of cities
The primary goal of these meetings is to initiate pilot projects, facilitate technology transfer, and build long-term business partnerships between Poland and Taiwan.
Pomerania as a Technology Partner for Taiwan
The business mission includes a strong representation from the Pomerania region. Together with 8Foundry Alliance, the delegation traveling to Taiwan includes institutional and business partners: City of Gdynia, City of Gdańsk, InvestGDA, Invest in Pomerania, Port of Gdynia, and Łączpol.
During Smart City Summit & Expo 2026, the delegation will also be present at a joint exhibition booth, which will serve as a space for meetings with Taiwanese partners and for presenting the technological potential of the region.
The presence of local governments, investment support institutions, and technology companies will showcase Pomerania as a dynamic technology and logistics hub in the Baltic Sea region and a gateway to the European market for partners from Asia.

The organizers invite technology companies, startups, system integrators, and representatives of the public sectorinterested in cooperation in the fields of smart city and digital infrastructure to participate in the Taiwan–Poland Smart City Forum matchmaking sessions.
